AURORA – As you can see, this creature and some of his Jurassic friends are getting antsy! After months of anticipation, the prehistoric behemoths are raring to romp and roar all over town! But first, the creature shown above needs a name! The contest kicked off last month, with hundreds of emailed entries received. A select committee of judges have whittled an amazing variety of monikers down to the TOP THREE. At 7pm on Friday, May 27 – on the grounds of the Aurora Softball Field – the assembled masses will determine the winning entry in the Festival’s first ever ‘Name the Dinosaur’ contest. Check out Pages 16 & 17 for a complete lineup of activities over the multi-day festival. Also, consult Page 23 for items that make up the Festival’s hugely popular ‘Silent Auction.’ Everyone is welcome,! You and your family will probably agree that the 2022 Fossil Festival is certainly a candidate for ‘strangest ever event.’
